Back to School with My Favorite Things

These little boys of mine seem like they were just babies yesterday, but they're headed back to school after the best summer ever.  They've grown like weeds this summer, I wanted to be sure to capture some snapshots as they headed out. I think they might be secretly excited about going back to school for the sole purpose of me not having my camera in their faces all the time!

Don't forget, all the NEW stamps and Die-namics I'm sharing today will be available TUESDAY night at 10pm EST over at My Favorite Things!

I picked up this frame on clearance, and put together a little back to school collage.  I'm using stamps and Die-namics from the Laina Lamb Collection. After all they're just perfect for a little memory keeping!  Here's a shot of the entire collage, and then I'll take it section by section.

I'm showing off the FABULOUS Border It Numbers Die-namics, I tucked it onto a card yesterday, but it's pretty incredible for scrapping too. For each boy, I cut the strip once from Wild Cherry Cardstock, and then cut out just their grade number from a silver glitter cardstock.

The Mini Album Fancy Ticket STAX was used to denote the year using the High-Rise Numbers, and I added "School Days" from the soon to be released, and aptly named Document It - School Days stamp set.  I've added a little trio of Fishtail Flags anchored with an Electric Red button with a bit of Hemp Cord.

This cute alpha script and "First Day of School" stamp is included in Journal It - Head of the Class, I added a tiny Paper Doll Boy Border across the bottom of the panel too. By "collecting" Die-namics you'll always have fun custom page accents.

In the next little frame I've used one of my go to scrapping Die-namics, Story Starters.  In this instance, I didn't pop out all the little letters, and I anchored them in place with a bit of adhesive.  Again, I perused my "collection" of Die-namics and added the Layered Heart Border.

The next space holds a 3x4 Notebook Paper Die-namics which was stamped with the Document It - School Days stamp.  I really adore this fun little school themed grid paper, I've got to add a little bit of journaling, but I'll save you my terrible handwriting.  The back to school apple icon was stamped with Wild Cherry and Gumdrop Green inks and cut with the companion Accent It - School Days Die-namics.

This last section is my middle schooler. Middle school? Yikes.  Again I've cut the border twice so I can accent just his grade level.  I love that the Die-namics includes both "grade" and "age" so you can call out special milestones in your memory keeping.  Middle school. Shaking my head.... sigh.

Okay, that's it for me today! Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples to share.  You will also find stamp and Die-namics graphics for all the new items being unveiled today, as well as details on our Teaser Time Prizes!  Have fun!
